The Eltham Foundation School (to be a Harris Academy in September 2012) in Greenwich has two exciting openings for May / September 2012. A superb new leadership team have been driving the school forward since January 2011, achieving Eltham’s best ever results after only two terms of 88% 5A*C (49% with maths and English), a rise of 20% on last year alone. This year we are on track to beat 65% with maths and English, doubling the results in two years and making us the most improved school in England.
The school has also been taken out of special measures by Ofsted in record time: “The executive headteacher, head of school and the senior management team have brought a renewed sense of pride and aspiration to the school. The mantra of ‘pace, purpose, pride’ permeates school life.”
Dr Chris Tomlinson (Executive Headteacher), a National Leader of Education, and George McMillan (Head of School), are offering an individual the chance to be part of a truly special professional opportunity where a school is being ‘turned around’ in record time. Both come from Harris Academy Chafford Hundred in Essex, an Outstanding school which Dr Tomlinson still runs, where results rocketed from 16% to 92% 5A*C including maths and English in only five years.
