The biggest factor influencing the success of a child is the parents. Involving parents in schools brings these two forces together and improves behaviour, results and the school.
The role of The Eltham Foundation Parent Council is very important. It gives you a voice that will be heard in your child’s learning environment. The Headteachers and other members of the Senior Leadership team regularly attend the meetings to listen to feedback and discuss new ideas.
Over the past few months, the council have influenced decisions in the following areas:
- Independent learning
- Parent evenings
- The new school library
- School communication including letters and texts
- Student attendance issues
We know that you are a busy parent with limited time, which is why the council meet just once every half term.
Meeting dates are as follows:
Wednesday 7th December 2011
Wednesday 18th January 2012
Wednesday 22nd February 2012
Wednesday 21st March 2012
Wednesday 18th April 2012
Wednesday 23rd May 2012
Wednesday 20th June 2012
Wednesday 18th July 2012
Please note that Parent Council is not the channel for individual complaints and issues. Concerns/complaints involving individual children, families or teachers will not be discussed.
Please arrange a meeting with the Headteacher about individual issues.
