Music is one of the foundation subjects in the National Curriculum and is studied by all students in Years 7 (1 hr per week), 8 (2 hrs per week) and 9 (2 hrs per week).
Throughout Key Stage 3 (KS3), students will have many opportunities to develop skills in performance, composition, listening and appraisal. These activities are taught through mainly practical lessons which are relevant and enjoyable to pupils. We aim to help students develop an understanding of music from different periods, styles, cultures and traditions from around the world.
