The Eltham Foundation School has a range of services and facilities that are available to our students, their families and the local community. These include:
- A dedicated school nurse provides advice for students, their families and the wider community and helps young people to make positive life choices.
- A health centre staffed with nurses and youth workers with a drop-in programme for students.
- An on site police officer helps to create strong positive relationships between school, young people and the community, and provides a positive contribution to the school curriculum.
- A dedicated team of school counsellors ensure that students well being is valued, and music and art therapists work with selected students on a regular basis.
- A varied menu of activities are available for students before and after the school day, with many courses and activities operating throughout school holiday, including sports, music and arts based projects.
- Parenting support and lifelong learning are valued particularly highly. A variety of parents’ classes run throughout the year including fitness, ICT, languages, study support, and family learning. We value our community links particularly highly.
- The Eltham Foundation School has a thriving ‘Friends of Eltham Green’ team who organise and support a wide range of events throughout the year, and help to positively engage parents in all aspects of school life beyond the curriculum.
- As part of an extended school cluster we work closely with local primary schools, the Community Centre and Children’s Centre. We work collaboratively wherever possible and work hard to creatively serve the needs of our community.
