Academic expectations at The Eltham Foundation School are high. Students follow a wide-ranging and balanced curriculum at each key stage, designed for all abilities and interests.
Classes are banded, enabling individuals to work at their own pace, as well as providing motivation for continuous improvement. In Years 10 and 11, students are carefully guided in choosing vocational and academic study options that are relevant to their aptitude and aspirations. Each student’s progress is closely monitored. Planning for success starts with baseline testing for Year 7 students and continues with termly progress checks for students. In addition, parents and carers are kept informed of progress via annual reports and parents’ evenings.
